Dale of Norway

IT ALL STARTED IN 1879 The little village of Dale is nestled next to the fjords, where birches cling to the steep mountain walls and waterfalls flow down from the mountains above. It was here that Peter Jebsen, a businessman from Bergen, arrived in 1879 and became fascinated by the spectacular surroundings. He quickly recognized the potential for hydro power and apparel production and established the Dale of Norway company the same year. For more than 135 years Dale of Norway has maintained its production in the Dale valley and continues to knit beautiful, timeless sweaters and technical outerwear.
