 Founded in 1947 in Aspen, Colorado, Sport Obermeyer was born out of necessity by Klaus Obermeyer. As an Aspen ski instructor, he became aware of the need to keep his ski school students warm and dry so they would enjoy the sport of skiing and become repeat customers. Klaus Obermeyer, a ski pioneer, learned environmental stewardship at a young age, respecting the alpine environment and its majestic beauty. Today, Obermeyer continues to design and produce innovative and technically responsible authentic ski wear from the heart of the Rocky mountains.
